Why do pavers outperform concrete?
Poured concrete looks clean on day one. By year five, it's cracked. Central Oregon's freeze-thaw cycles are hard on monolithic slabs — once a crack forms, the only fix is a patch that never quite matches, or a full tear-out and repour.
Pavers work differently. Because each stone moves independently, they flex through temperature swings without fracturing. If a single paver ever shifts or gets damaged, it lifts out and resets in an afternoon — no jackhammer, no mess, no matching problem.
They also age better. The color runs through the full thickness of the paver, so surface wear doesn't change the look. A well-installed paver patio in Bend will look as good in twenty years as it does the day we finish it.
